My best friend and I decided to take a trip to the beach last weekend.
We both live two hours away from our favorite beach, so we knew we’d have to get up early in order to make the most of our day.
We packed our coolers, lathered up in sunscreen, and loaded up the car for a two hour drive. Since we left so early, the temperature outside was rather cool. We didn’t need to turn the AC on for the first thirty minutes. Once we were ready to turn on the air conditioning, her car made a rattling noise, a pop, and then the AC went out. My best friend and I looked at each other with worry in our faces, because it didn’t sound good. We still had another hour left in our drive, and it was only going to get warmer. Our trip wasn’t off to the best start. By the time we made it to the beach, we were ready to cool off in the ocean. The two of us enjoyed our time laying in the sun and swimming in the ocean, but we were dreading our two hour journey back home without air conditioning. After loading the car to head back, we lowered the windows and made the most of it. It was hot and humid outside, but we were already sandy and sweaty from a day at the beach anyway. My best friend had to take her car into the shop the following day and have the AC checked out. Unfortunately, it’s been four days and she still hasn’t heard any news on the status of her AC system.
