Now that summertime is finally here, cookout season is well underway. My family and I get numerous invitations to attend backyard BBQs from our friends and local family members. I absolutely don’t like being invited to these type of parties. Doesn’t anyone think these things through? It is the hottest part of the summer, the average temperature most days is in the 90s and it is regularly humid. That is just unreasonable weather, why does almost everyone want us to stand around outside in the heat while someone has to cook over a hot grill? I feel I personally would much rather just BBQ on the grill and then come inside to eat where it was nice and cool. I wouldn’t feel my makeup sliding off my face as well as feel self conscious over the amount of sweat I was producing. I wouldn’t want the other guest to think I had a body odor problem! All of us go to these same exact BBQs every year and almost everyone keeps their guest hanging around outside where there is no relief from the steamy summertime weather. I am seriously thinking about skipping all of these BBQ this year just because I can’t handle the thought of having to be outside in such unwelcoming weather conditions. I may sound like a cry baby to most of you but it is no different than those of you who complain over the bitterly cold winters and how you don’t want to participate in winter festivals or go to a sledding get-together with your youngsters because you don’t want to venture outside in the freezing cold. There absolutely is no difference if you ask me except I tolerate the winter temperature much better than I do the summertime temperature. What is so wrong with that?
- The room is just horrible
- HVAC system struggling with the fur
