When I left my old house and moved into another, I inherited a lot of things. I got an old cassette player, a hideous buddha statue and an outdated boiler system in the first floor. None of the things were things that I wanted. The cassette player and buddha were easy to throw out. The boiler has been nothing but more complications. I called a city Heating plus A/C supplier to see if they would take the heater. The boiler is not our lake condo heater and does not even work. I figured they would want it for scraps though. Not one bit, the boiler is outdated enough where the scraps are no longer made for it. They won’t grab it off my hands. I then tried getting a metal recycling supplier to grab it. It is literally a huge metal container. Nah, the boiler has rusted and rotted to the point that the metal can’t be used anymore. An off the book metal scrapper would not even want it for his collection. Now I don’t know what to do. My last idea is taking it to the dump and thinking that they maybe will take it. The boiler system is quite large though. I can’t move it alone. Secondly, I don’t know how to get it out of the first floor. The stairs to the basement are easily tight and the doorway is small. I don’t know how the boiler got in the home, but it can’t get out easy enough.
