When I got out of high school, I had all of these high expectations. I wanted to get a job instead of going on to college. I just didn’t like the idea of going to school for another four years. I thought it was crazy to sit in a classroom and pay someone a lot of money to do it. I found a course as a computer programmer, and I could work during the day while going to school at night. I guess you could call this a turning point for me because I had a natural talent for computer programming. A friend of mine told me that he knew of a company that was looking for someone to install security equipment. I loved that job and I soon realized I had been with them for fifteen years. The only thing about my job that has changed is that I no longer install the security system, but I now design and program the security system for our customers. I get to know my clients as I assess their needs and their schedules. I make sure that I am able to give my clients a security system that will suit their every need. I not only deliver their schedule to our monitoring team, but I also adjust their needs as time goes on. I make yearly visits to my clients so I can go over any complications they may be having and to update their equipment. My clients all know that they are valued customers and that I have their best interest in mind.
