I love air conditioner a lot. I never had the awesome air conditioner I now enjoy as a kid. We either had a couple ceiling fans or a crappy window A/C unit or two. Maybe I didn’t care as much when I was a kid, but I don’t think I could live in such circumstances these days. I’ve grown too fond of central heating and air conditioning. I wonder, as I look back, how I could have come inside after a rough day of play in the summer heat and not been absolutely dying from the inadequate cooling within my house. Yet, I distinctly remember being very active and that hasn’t changed now that I’ve grown up. I run for a couple miles at least once every day. Most of the time I get it done in the morning before starting my day, but sometimes I don’t get around to it until the afternoon. In the summer, this can be a little rough, but I still insist on getting my running in. I always make sure I have plenty of water on hand, no matter what time of day it is or the season. However, I particularly appreciate that water during those swelteringly hot summer afternoons. Moreover, what I appreciate just as much is when I’m finished running for the day and I walk through my front door back into the air conditioning! It’s an absolutely beautiful feeling that I would not trade for anything! I typically crank the thermostat down a few more notches to bask in the ice cold air; ice cold at least compared to the outside heat.
